Admissions to St. Peter’s

St. Peter’s is a co-educational independent school for pupils from 3 to 18 years of age. We aim to stretch, support and develop the academic potential of each pupil, willingly accepting children of differing abilities.

Visits

Deciding on a school is an important step and a personal visit is invaluable.

The school has no specific open days. We believe parents' like to see the school working. Please contact us to arrange a mutually convenient time to visit us. On these occasions parents are given a tour of the school in addition to an informal interview with the Head Teacher.

Entry procedure

The aim of our process is to identify potential. We are looking for well-rounded pupils with a genuine interest in education in the broadest sense of the word, with interests that stretch beyond the confines of the academic curriculum, in areas such as music, drama, art, debating, community activities and sport.

Equal Treatment

Our aim is to encourage applications from pupils with as diverse a range of backgrounds as possible. This enriches our community and is vital in preparing our pupil’s for today’s world. With a diverse school intake the means of establishing potential will vary according to the candidate’s age and educational background.

Acceptance Procedure

If successful, parents will receive a conditional offer of a place for their child and will be asked to complete an acceptance form and pay the acceptance deposit of £200.

The School reserves the right not to offer places to those it considers would not benefit from the School’s education, would not cope with the academic curriculum, or who may have a detrimental effect on other pupils.
