Careers/PSHE is a compulsory part of the curriculum at KS3 with one forty-five minute lesson each week.
Forms 1, 2 and 3 study issues regarding government, the law, the community and money.
In Key Stage 3 pupils learn about how Britain is governed, why we have laws, the role of the police, being a good neighbour, raising money for charities, budgeting and banking, dealing with prejudice and living healthily.

Forms 4 and 5 study issues regarding personal wellbeing, developing as a citizen and economic wellbeing and financial capability.
In Key Stage 4 pupils learn about human rights, crime and punishment, managing moods and emotions, healthy eating, safer sex and contraception, drinking and smoking, planning the future and managing money.
This subject is not assessed at GCSE.
